Admissions Requirements

To be considered for admission to the Master of Science in Strategic Marketing program, applicants must:

  1. Send official transcripts documenting an earned Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution.
  2. Demonstrate at least two years of practical, verified work experience in a marketing/advertising capacity in a for-profit or nonprofit organization.
  3. Have a grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.75 to 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, depending on depth of professional experience.
  4. Submit at least two letters of recommendation assessing the applicant’s potential from the following categories:
  • Undergraduate faculty member within major (required for recent graduates)
  • A community leader (pastor, program/project manager, etc.)
  • Employer (current or former supervisor, internship sponsor, etc.)
  1. Submit a current resume.
  2. Complete an essay of about 500 words or less (1-2 pages), addressing:
  • Your interest in the M.S. in Strategic Marketing program and what you expect to gain from your M.S. in Strategic Marketing education,
  • The relevant professional, academic, and personal experiences you bring to the M.S. in Strategic Marketing program to benefit your educational experience and that of other cohort members.

Or        

          Put together 3-5 Power Point slides that showcase….

  • Your creativity and demonstrate your ability to market your top attributes to the Admissions Committee reviewing your credentials.  This relatively free-form option is yours to expand upon and interpret.  These slides can be submitted in hard copy form or can be emailed to ferguson_sandra@roberts.edu

7.   Have completed (or demonstrate proficiency through the application essay) in:

    • Computer Applications
    • Oral Communications
    • Written Communications

8.   International students must submit scores from the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) exam.  A minimum TOEFL of 550 is needed for admission consideration.
