The RWC SIFE Team Offers Free Tax Help through the

C.A.S.H. Partner Site Program

Are you puzzled by the tax law and which credits and deductions you still can take? Free tax help is available through the C.A.S.H. Partner Site sponsored by Roberts Wesleyan College Students In Free Enterprise (RWC SIFE) in North Chili, New York. RWC SIFE has been involved with C.A.S.H., Creating Assets, Savings & Hope, since 2003 as volunteers at super sites around Monroe County.

The RWC SIFE team is offering a C.A.S.H. Partner Site on campus to serve working, lower income families in having their taxes prepared and Earned Income Credit claims processed at their partner site – for free – in the western part of the county. The RWC SIFE volunteers will help with basic income tax returns and are trained and certified community Volunteer Tax Assistors, having completed an IRS training and certification course in basic income tax return preparation before they can assist customers.

Community members who visit the RWC C.A.S.H. Partner Site should bring this year's tax package, wage and earnings statements (Form W-2) from all employers, interest statements from banks (Form 1099), a copy of last year's tax return if available, and other relevant information about income and expenses.

If your family income is less than $40,000, bring your tax forms and other necessary information to Roberts Wesleyan College Chesbro Center at 7 College Green Drive on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. or Wednesdays from 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. for free tax assistance, or call 585-594-6091 for an appointment. The site at Roberts Wesleyan College officially opens on Saturday, January 26, and will end on Saturday, April 12. The RWC Site will be closed on Saturday, March 22.

C.A.S.H. - Creating Assets, Savings, and Hope - is a community coalition led by Empire Justice Center and the United Way of Greater Rochester. C.A.S.H. was established in 2002 to help working families earning up to$40,000 annually make the most of their money and build stronger financial futures.
