Dr. Steven Bovee was presented with the Richard C. Chewning Award, established by the Christian Business Faculty Association (CBFA) at the CBFA conference in Indianapolis, IN November 6-9, 2008. This award recognizes Steve's leadership in integrating biblical principles and business practice. At the conference, Steve also presented a paper with Bob Roller entitled “Should Student Learning Outcomes Factor into Faculty Performance Evaluations?”
In April 2008, Steve received the 2nd annual John L. Green award in recognition of his "lifelong commitment to excellence in business education" at the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education Annual Conference in Newport Beach, CA.
He is a member of the following organizations: International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education [Board of Directors (2004-07), Chair (2005-06)]; Christian Business Faculty Association [Board of Directors (2002-06)]; and Faith Connections@Work [Board of Directors, (2003-2006)].
In addition, Steve is also chairing the IACBE Strategic Planning Committee, whose task is to update the accrediting association’s strategic plan.

Dr. Joel Hoomans received his Doctorate in Strategic Leadership from Regent University in May, 2008. In addition, Joel presented a paper entitled, "Developing Strategic Agility: Rethinking Rock, Paper, & Scissors Approaches to Strategy" at the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education Annual Conference in Newport Beach, CA in April 2008.
Dr. John Walker presented a paper entitled, "Leading Change: Theory Applied to Individuals, Teams, and Organizations" at the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education Annual Conference in Newport Beach, CA in APril 2008. In addition, he is pastor of Faith Christian Center, and serves on the board of directors for the Charles Finney School as well as the Rochester Black Business Association Board.
