Core Competencies

Throughout the course of the MSL program, students are measured in each of the following competency areas through a unique, customized rubric. By reviewing the results, faculty can be assured of positive outcomes, and students can celebrate their development and growth. The MSL program delivers this unprecedented tool as a result of its commitment to proven outcomes in the transformation of students through the combination of goals and feedback. Stewardship

Maximizes resources to get optimal results.

Ethical Formation and Decision Making

Leveraging personal ethics, organizational values, and the pursuit of truthful data in making effective decisions and building organizational integrity & trust.

Communication Savvy

Effectively communicates to the right audience, using appropriate mechanisms (email, phone, face-to-face, PowerPoint, etc) and timeframes. 

Human Development Strategies

Develops the assets in themselves and others in such a way as to empower and leverage strengths (knowledge, skills, abilities, interests) that create value for the organization.

Building Effective Teams and Communities

Demonstrates the ability to configure the skills, knowledge and talents necessary to accomplish objectives by leveraging shared values, interests, mission and/or vision.
