Getting involved in activities outside the classroom is one of the most rewarding aspects of college life.

Take a look at the organizations listed below and see what Roberts has to offer. If you do not see something listed that you are interested in, don’t despair!

Feel free to contact Associate Dean Brenda J. Myrthil about the possibility of getting involved with a student organization or creating a new organization on campus. Don’t miss out on the chance for a great college experience outside the classroom.

• Class Council- represents class and plan activities for the class. Officers are elected positions.
• Beacon Newspaper- produces a bi-weekly student newspaper to inform and enlighten students on current campus activities and issues on campus. Writers and photographers needed.
• Chesbronian Yearbook- produces an annual yearbook to document and preserve memories.
• Intramurals- provides sports and recreation throughout the year including soccer, flag football, dodgeball, water polo, basketball, volleyball, floor hockey, racquetball, ultimate Frisbee, and an annual decathlon.
• Publicity- promotes student activities on campus. Volunteers needed.
• Senate- represents the student body's concerns and promotes positive change on campus.
• Social Life- plans and implements campus wide social activities.

• Criminal Justice Club- promotes interest in the Criminal Justice field, as well as a sense of fellowship among the students.
• Math and Science Club- provides a place for math and science students to come together and discuss issues in math and science.
• MENC- Music Educators National Conference- prepares future music teachers for their career.
• Nursing Club- meets once a month to plan events and service projects and fund raisers for the academic year. Projects include BP screenings, events at local hospitals, fundraisers for trans-cultural trips, and social activities.
• Psychology Club- promotes interest in the Psychology field, as well as a sense of fellowship among the students.
• Student Education Association (SEA)- promotes dialogue on important topics facing the field of education and teachers in the workplace, meets monthly, and plans service projects/fundraisers for local children.
• Student Social Work Association (SSWA)- furthers learning and social skills in the field of Social Work.
• Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE)- takes practical business skills out to the community to try to help make a difference in the lives of those around us. SIFE's motto is "Changing the World."

CULTURAL/ETHNIC:

• Celebration of Diversity (C.O.D.)- brings awareness and unity of the various cultures on the Roberts campus through social events, chapels, and other campus-related activities.
• Club Español- enriches students with the Spanish language and culture through conversation social events.

• Campus Crusade for Christ- leads a spiritual movement on campus, creating passionate followers of Christ who will lead others closer to the Lord.
• Dance Ministry- brings together a group of dancers with all levels of experience, who gather together to glorify God through the art of dance.
• Drama Ministry- writes, borrows, and performs skits and short plays to present the gospel to unbelievers and amuse, encourage, and challenge Christians.
• Ekklasia- promotes spiritual formation and displays the love of Christ on campus and in the community.
• Foot of the Cross- seeks God by worshipping together, serving the outside community, and fostering spiritual growth through discussion groups.
• In Jesus' Name- also known as “street ministry,” In Jesus’ Name feeds, clothes, and builds relationships with the homeless on the streets of Rochester.
• Men’s Small Group- gathers RWC men to build accountability, know the Bible better, and discover how to become a better servant of God.
• Missions- Missions are cross-cultural experiences that allow you to communicate God’s truth and love through service, music, teaching, and relationship building. Past mission trip sites include Eastern Europe, Africa, Honduras, Chili, and Thailand.

• Nursing Home Ministry- to serve and show Christ’s love to the residents of a local nursing home.
• Rochester Youth Outreach- to minister to teens of the 19th ward by providing an after school program with positive role models and mentors, homework help and tutoring, food, discipleship, sports, and games.
• Signs of Praise- to learn and present American Sign Language (ASL) as a different form of praise and worship.
• Women’s small group- gathers RWC women to build accountability, know the Bible better, and discover how to become a better servant of God.
• Worship Teams- opportunity to be a part of the team which leads worship at Chapel.

• Chorale- this 40-voice ensemble is made up of students enrolled in the College's many majors. The Chorale rehearses 3 afternoons per week, performs one or more major concerts on and off campus each semester, and takes an annual tour each Spring. Students  are selected by audition at the beginning of each semester.

• Chamber Ensembles- there are multiple ensembles for music and non-music majors, including brass ensemble, clarinet choir, flute choir, jazz combos, percussion ensemble, saxophone quartet, string chamber ensemble, and woodwind quintet. Ensembles rehearse weekly and perform in the chamber ensembles concert each semester, as well as other special events.
• Jazz Ensemble- selected by audition, this group performs composed and improvised music derived from the American big band tradition; African American composers; contemporary classical music; and various ethnic traditions. The Jazz Ensemble performs each semester on campus, as well as off-campus special events.
• Men’s Chorus- this ensemble draws 20-25 students from all majors and enjoys a unique blend of professional training in music with opportunities for creative expression in the spirit of fraternity. The Men's Chorus rehearses 2 afternoons per week and performs a variety of works drawn from the sacred, glee club, Broadway, pop, and seas chantey traditions. They perform a concert each semester, as well as special events on campus and in the community. Men are selected by audition at the beginning of each semester.

• RWC Symphony Orchestra- provides a musical experience that includes the highest quality orchestral repertoire in a supportive environment. The Orchestra consists of approximately 60 students and musicians in the Rochester area, and meets Monday evenings from 7:00-9:15 pm.
• RWC Theater Productions- encourages student participation in all aspects of a theatrical production including acting, production, backstage, set, and promotion. Types of productions include student-generated productions, one-act nights, original plays and musicals.  Students enrolled in the Theater Minor may receive credit for active participation.
• Wind Ensemble- consisting of 45 members, the Wind Ensemble rehearses 3 afternoons per week, performs three major concerts each semester, and takes an annual tour for part of the February break. Students are selected by audition at the beginning of the Fall semester.
• Women’s Choir- this choir is comprised of 30-40 women both majoring and not majoring in music. The ensemble rehearses 3 afternoons per week. The Women's Choir performs at least once each semester. No audition is required. 

• Ballroom Dance Club- provides students with the opportunity to learn different forms of ballroom dance styles.
• Gospel Choir- exposes the Roberts community to American Gospel music and provides students and faculty with another style of worship.
• Sirens- female a capella performing organization.
• Studio 278- promotes unity within the fine art department, fosters creative fellowship across the Roberts campus, and connects with the art community through interesting field trips.
• Vocal Infusion- male a capella performing organization.

• Acting on AIDS (AoA)- responds, as followers of Christ, to the global AIDS emergency by way of prayer, direct service, awareness raising, fundraising, political advocacy, and more.
• Arch Ambassadors for Roberts- student leaders who voluntarily serve Roberts in many capacities including giving campus tours, hosting prospective students, and representing the college at Admissions, Alumni, Development, and Career Services events.
• Chess Club- provides competition for all skill levels with good sportsmanship in the game of chess.
• Ecology Club- raises ecological awareness and promotes good ecological practices on the RWC campus.

• Pen and Pad: Creative Writing Weekly- explores writing talents in a fun and nurturing environment.

• Roberts Red Scare- increases school spirit through supporting Roberts athletic teams.

• Ski Club - provides students opportunities to participate in skiing, snowboarding, or cross country telemarking.
