I am a born and raised east coast Canadian that moved to Rochester NY last year to complete an MSW degree. I received a BSc Psychology in 2007 from Dalhousie University, Halifax NS. While attending Roberts for the past year I have been stretched and challenged to become the type of person in which God intended me to be within the body of Christ.
It is said that it is only when we truly know ourselves that we have the ability to help others. My past year at Roberts has been just that – soul searching. To sell a product we must truly believe in it ourselves. My own life search for self has made me aware of the need to help others through that same process.
As John Lennon said “I get by with a little help from my friends.” We also move through our lives in relationships with others - whether it is through friendship, family, counselors, etc. God has called and blessed me with the gift to be a support and an encourager for others in this way.
