Mary E. Zeigler has been a string teacher in the Penfield Central School District in Penfield, New York since 1998, where she conducts three elementary school orchestras and teaches violin, viola, cello, bass and harp. Her other responsibilities have included teaching middle school string lessons, high school string lessons, band lessons and training student teachers.
Prior to her tenure with the Penfield Central School District, Mrs. Zeigler taught private and group Suzuki Violin in San Diego, California, Tijuana, Mexico, Raton, New Mexico and Tallahassee, Florida. She also served as a choir director for the Lemon Grove United Methodist Church in the San Diego area.
Mrs. Zeigler holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish with a minor in Music from San Diego State University where she studied Suzuki Violin Pedagogy as a post-graduate with Theodore Brunson. She earned her Master of Science in Music Education at Nazareth College of Rochester.
