Guitarist Timothy J. Shannon currently studies with Nicholas Goluses, as he pursues his Doctor of Musical Arts Degree in Performance and Literature at the Eastman School of Music. He completed his Masters in Music Performance from the State University of New York at Buffalo where he studied with Joanne Castellani of the Castellani/Andriaccio Duo. He received his Bachelor of Professional Studies in Guitar Performance from SUNY Empire State College, where he integrated coursework from Nazareth College in Rochester and The Eastman School of Music. He has also studied with Matthew Ardizzone, Timothy Schmidt, Rick Falkenstein, and taken master classes with Christopher Parkening, Raphaella Smits, Edward Flower, Sharon Isbin, and the Los Angeles Guitar Quartet. He teaches at Roberts Wesleyan College and Hochstein Music School, and has given private lessons since 1980. A member of the Guitar Foundation of America, Timothy Shannon regularly performs both solo and chamber music.
